So having said that I will explain what's been going on. We got to VA on Sunday and expected out stuff to be here Tues. So we have blowup mattresses and we each have a bag with some clothes. Other than that it was just an empty house...waiting to be filled with our things. We decided to use the companies offer of moving our stuff cause I was home by myself and Danny wanted to let me have the luxury of someone else packing for me. If not it would have been me and the boys trying to pack up the house. He was just trying to be sweet.
Now, we are in VA and our stuff is still sitting in a warehouse in AL. Why? You might ask. Well the original driver got pneumonia and could drive the truck. And for some reason everyone else is moving right now too, and there are no available drivers to get our stuff. So they told us yesterday the earliest we can expect our things is a week (from yesterday)!
Then, we get a call from Danny's company. Suzi, who is in charge of relocation, has offered to pay for us to stay at an Embassy Suites during the week we are waiting for our things. We tell her we would love to so she gets to work. We then get a call telling us that there are no suited available in the places they can get for us. So now we are back to square -4 and working our way up.
We have had great support from our ward. They have come and helped with the boys, let me do laundry at there homes, and even brought us dinner each night. But the boys have been making things a little trying as well, but I can't blame them they are in an empty house and just want to have more to do!
So on our prayer list we have: please let our stuff get here, please help our house in AL sell (fast, like yesterday), thank you for the wonderful ward, and thank you that I don't own a gun! LOL
This was all too long to put on a FB status so I thought I would take a minute to let you all know we are safe and together, just all our nerves are fried and we are trying to pull through without being that crazy family! Love to you all!

Oh girl! I'm so sorry, I totally feel your pain and understand. You are doing so much better than I did under the same circumstances. I shut down and our life was so much more miserable than it had to be. A train pop up tent was the funnest thing for Gavin in our empty apt., $20 at Walmart (well 2 years ago). You could use all this "time" to go scout out the best places to take kids, make it a game or something. I'm glad you are together and that you have a wonderful ward family helping you out! Wish I could come up and make it easier for you. Cause having visitors in an empty house would sooo make it easier, lol. We'll be praying for you. P.S. At least it's a decent reason for your stuff being stuck, better than our we sent it to CA and it's in storage for unknown reasons. Took a week just to find where all our stuff was. Cause you know CA is on the way to AL so made perfect sense to me.
All the military moves are going on, which is why you're having to wait so long for your stuff. I'm sure the same company that is mvoing you guys has a contract with the military. Hang in there! It'll all come together! Enjoy the last few days of having very little to do. Cause when your stuff finally does get there...that's when you're going to want to pull your hair out, trying to unpack with three kids underfoot! :)
Looks like you guys got your stuff today (I saw on FB)! I hope everything is intact. Look on the bright side, that last week or so was probably the neatest your place is going to be! Now the boys will have their toys, etc. and it will never be the same again. ;)
I know! But we are loving our mess right now! LOL! I need to give everyone a call now that our stuff has arrived and I'm not so stressed! Love everyone for thinking of us and the sweet words!
