Something to post about

I feel like we have finally been exposed to real winter weather! LOL! We knew snow was coming yesterday, but we had no idea how fast it would come. I know snow is not that big of a deal to most people that are reading this, but for me it was a first, I knew was coming. I don't have any issues with snow. I don't run to the store like the world is ending, but we made sure we had what we needed...two days ago. I did not want to be stuck with the folks fighting over the milk! But that is not the point to this post.

I want to put up pics of how beautiful and fun I think snow really is. The boys and I all bundled up this morning after breakfast and went out to play. We took a piece of celery, and some raisins with the hopes of making a snowman. Unfortunately, the snow was too powdery and wouldn't stick together. We'll try again tomorrow. Jack was the most excited one to go out, but quickly changed his mind when it was so high he couldn't walk or stand up. Here are some of the fun pics I took!

A second after this picture was taken, he was waste high and fell over...again!

They had too much fun! It was a blast!

This was last night after dinner! You can't even tell I have bushes now!

Our play-set in the back yard.

This is what I mean about beautiful!

Poor little trike!

The new year

There isn't really anything to report. We have all been sick since Christmas. Danny and I have been exercising hard, but since I'm sick this week, I haven't gotten my workout in. I hate it cause it makes me feel like a slacker. I am not a fan of being sick...not cause I feel bad but because I HATE being slowed down or have things interrupted! But such is life and I'll get better and back to kicking butt! LOL

Isaak's third tooth should be coming out soon. Jack is now potty trained and Brett need to go to school...HaHa!

What a trip!

On Christmas eve we loaded up the van and headed to the deep south for the Holidays. We had heard that it would be snowing all day Christmas Day in AL and VA. I took a page out of my Dad's book and we drove all night so the kids would sleep. It was awesome! We were tired but the drive to AL was much better than the ride home.

First stop, Ragland! We surprised my mom and dad by showing up early. We weren't suppose to get there until late Christmas day. So they loved seeing the kids in their room that morning! Lacy and David were already there, and of course, so were Elizabeth and Joe. Roma is getting so big and I loved getting to hug on here while I was home. We all had so much fun and the kids didn't seem to whine like they normally do. One day Aunt Lacy had the boys (and mom and me) in tears laughing! She was writing back and forth to the boys on their DS's. She was saying things like, " Uncle David flosses his teeth with shoe strings!" and "Your dad farts like a girl!". It literally went on for an hour or so! We decided to do Chinese on Christmas night for dinner. So we all got in the kitchen and cooked away. It was so yummy! We did a gift exchange as well. Remember how I kept saying I don't want to post my sewing yet, well it was the gifts for my twin nieces. We had drawn their names and I really wanted to make something for them.

Before we left Ragland, we had to stop by our great friends...the Smith's! We had a great lunch at Struts, then took the kids for ice cream at Cecil's! It was great and I hate that we didn't say longer! Alicia gave me an Onion chopper. It's an inside joke. She gives me such are hard time and love to laugh at how much cutting onions hurts me. My eyes burn and turn seriously red! It is more than the normal persons and I have tried all those things they tell you that will help. The only thing I haven't done was buy unnecessary contacts to protect my eyes! Anyway, after we finished up in Ragland we headed to Huntsville! We made some amazing friends in the last 3 1/2 years we lived there and we had to see them. I also went by our house there as well. It was really hard to leave again. But before we left we all had a game night and let the kids play! Then the next night we had a girls night! It was too awesome, all that laughing and goofing off! Brendi is suppose to send me some pics...so when I get them I'll put them on here.

Ann is such a crazy, sweet nut!

Me and Aubrey!

Final stop, GA. Yes, we had a long Christmas...9days! In GA we saw Danny's family and some friends of ours as well. Matt and Courtney were in town the same time we were so we went to grab some sushi with them! It was yummy and I always love catching up with them! Momom(danny's mom) got the boys all kinds of fun toys and she has three new pets! The kids had a blast at her house! Danny and I stayed at a small motel in town and the kids stayed with Danny's mom! NICE, right?! The last day we were there we went to Danny's Dad's house and opened gifts there. His uncle and grandmother always come too. By the last night of the trip Isaak was sick with a fever and chills. I felt so bad for him and he decided to stay with Danny and I that night. He has been sick since. It is now Thursday and he has been sick since Saturday night. The vomiting has stopped and the fever is working its way out of him. I am hoping he will be able to go back to school tomorrow. Of course, there is more snow coming in tomorrow so we'll see what happens! It was a great trip and I hated ending it but we are back to normal life now.

Jack has been in underwear since we got home and is doing SO well. No tantrums, or stiffening up this time! Brett always has a hard time adjusting because he's usually angry/heartbroken that we left Mama Ford, Bliss, Ava, and Momom. Those are his favorite people in the world and none of them are here! So, he has had a bit of an attitude since we got back. Life moves forward and time goes on but our hearts will always have a place for Bama!
