Fun and dates!

There aren't many things to update on. We have still been having snow. But we did get to go see my parents over the long weekend. It was really great to see them, and it was part of my new years resolution. I am really trying to see more of my family and friends. I have used the excuse of having little kids before. Usually babies. Well, now I don't have new babies. So I think this would be a great year to work on this resolution. If I have friends that are too far to see often I have been trying to do better about emailing them. We have so many ways to do that these days there really isn't a good reason not to.

So onto the fun. My nephew Bliss came over last night and spent the night with Brett. They are only three months apart in age and are really close friends as well. The two of them had a ball! This afternoon, Zade and Isla came to join them for some play time and it got even better. Bliss and Brett exclude everyone! They stick to themselves. Zade found a bike helmet and refused to take it off the whole time he was here! I never got a chance to take a picture! It was so cute! Jack laid on the couch under the Darth Vader blanket and watched Looney Toons and Isla went behind all of them looking for things to put in her mouth! They always make me smile!

Then this Monday Danny and I took the opportunity to go on a date. We have both really been wanting to see Sherlock Holmes! We really liked it and had a great time eating some dessert before hand! It snowed the whole time and we had to be careful not to break a hip on the ice, but it was well worth it! We have found a new sitter the we love (still miss our Amy), and things have been nice around here. Here is a pic Danny took while we were out!

Snowy Days of Winter

This has been the craziest winter we have ever had! Canada had to have snow shipped in for the Olympics, and the U.S. (I'm guessing) would be willing to give it back. So today was a 30% chance of some rain, maybe a snowflake or two. In less than half an hour my yard was gone and snowflakes the size of golf balls were falling. And it is still coming down. So I took the boys out in it! I will let the pictures do the rest of the talking.

So we are hoping to get out again later and make a nice snowman! Fun times!

Hello World

I haven't been hiding, there just isn't much new stuff going on. Just same old same old. Waiting for the weather to stay dry long enough to get grass in the backyard. Isaak is still plugging away in school and Brett and Jack are home with me. They, like me, are wanting the warmer weather to desperately arrive! Things have been so quiet I am wondering if some huge uprising isn't just around the corner. Life can't stay quiet for too long! Hope everyone is well and love to you all!
